I am a firm believer in "upcycling". As a society, we are cluttering up our environment with far too much unnecessary waste. My desire to reduce, reuse, and recycle, has led to an obsession with chalk paint. Chalk paint is a type of paint that makes furniture refinishing a breeze. This type of paint eliminates the need for sanding a piece of furniture prior to painting it. I have become so obsessed with this paint that I now make it myself to save money. Chalk paint can be quite expensive, a quart can cost upwards of $28.00 a quart.
I have decided that I would share my obsession with you, my readers. In the past 9 months I have worked on several pieces. So if there any crafters out there, let me know if you have any questions on the pictures I am sharing.
